HBO Imagine

I am really into the different ways people tell stories and HBO has created an awesome new way to explore movies. HBO imagine shows you a story from many different angles. You can rotate a cube to see a story from many different points of view. It is really high tech but it feels almost old school as a storytelling tactic. Writers have always created stories that are fully realized by different points of view. This storytelling technique also reminds me of video artists who take this idea into the instillation art space. Check it out, here.

Links you will Love: Ted Talks / The Moth

Are you in need of some spiritual guidance or just a dose of perspective? Lately, I have. I have been inching ever so slowly to officially being a senior and I find myself in a bit of a rush to figure it all out. I love Ted Talks because you are listening to the smartest people in the world give you guidance and advice on life. My good friend Bethany lead me to this excellent one by Malcom Gladwell. Any time I am feeling a little too into my problems or becoming obsessed with figuring it all out, I have discovered that listening to a good story helps bring me back to earth. The Moth has some of the most amazingly funny, sad and happy stories you will ever hear. So watch some Ted Talks and listen to The Moth when you are asking yourself those awesome life questions.

Links You Will Love: Online Shopping Bonanza!

If you're like me, you consider online shopping a sport. And what better way to go pro then to learn how to shop designer sample sales online? My fave sample sale websites after the jump!

Now what makes these websites especially cool, is that you need an invite to join. Lucky for you, I've got the inside scoop (of you could just follow the sites on twitter, where they sometimes post their invite codes too). My favorites:

1. HauteLook

Invite me to Hautelook!

2. Rue La La

3. Ideeli

This site is definitely my favorite of the three. The sales include the most wearable and affordable of the designers, and the website is a easy, simple design too!

Invite me to Ideeli!

Alright BStylers-- do you know any other sample sale websites? Send them this way!

IndieNC features items handmade by North Carolina artists. There isn't much there yet but I still found some things I really liked.

Links you will love: The Selby

I know this isn’t a local find but I am totally inspired by this website idea. I love seeing where inspiring people live. Their homes always seem so much more beautiful than mine.I am thinking about putting together a version for Elon.
Check out the home of Natalie Wood.

Can I have all of these necklaces please?
